CamSnap is like a similar $99 hardware device, but more versatile. Imagine; with a digital or photo camera, you are limited to the capture of the 'moment' often the photo that you wanted was taken a split second late or earlier than it should have been. With your CamCorder and CamSnap, you can select the exact frame that you require. Then CamSnap goes to work on your PC. With its enhancement techniques CamSnap can produce brilliant photos. When your photo is ready, you can Snap it to the Clipboard, Save it to a file as BMP, compressed BMP or JPEG, or JPEG series for a whole photo session.

USERS COMMENTS:
It works great. Now I don't have to do numerous retries to capture just the right frame.
I downloaded your CamSnap program just now and I think you have a great idea--being able to save JPGs directly from the camera.
I really like the format and ease of use.
CamSnap continues to function without any problems. If anything changes I'll let you know, but at least on my system, it seems pretty solid.
On my system I can't use RealProducer under NT, but I can use Camsnap.
The other day when I was capturing frames from helicopter shots of Siberia, it was very handy to be able to pick just the exact frames in which movement artifacts were minimized. This would've been impossible without Camsnap. I'm sure other users will find new ways to use this software that you haven't directly anticipated.
Hello, I am a doctor who perform ultrasounds. I am interested in your software because I would like to capture the frames from the ultrasound machine (sVGA format), save the files as JPG and print them as an option.
It's well worth saving the cost of a high-res digital camera and using my current video camera to get quality that's that good.
Greetings from Connecticut. I just want to thank you for this camsnap program, a lot of friends have these so called, (easy to operate??) digital cameras and spend endless hours just trying for that perfect shot, when I can review to my hearts content and capture what I like, and thank goodness its easy to use!! I have to thank you again for this program.
You might want to market to webmasters, as they can use the program with state of the art Camcorders..and the still digitals hasn't come up with the zoom and amenities that Camcorder has..with Hi8 or digital 8 your program will out do the $5,000 stills.
Thank you again for your help.  I am also interested in any other photo/video software that you have developed and have for sale.  I was very pleased with the performance of CamSnap, and would be happy to purchase any of your other products.  I believe in loyalty to an excellent product.  Robb Kubiak-Cherkaski.

Sounds good - what are minimum requirements?
P166, 32 meg, pref multimedia, must have a Video Capture card. CamCorder. CamSnap Software.

Video Capture Card - is it the same as my video card?
No, it is a special card which has similar inputs to your VCR to allow video processing from external sources on your PC. We feel every PC should come with a capture card because they are so useful. Included in the many functions that they can do for you is video conferencing, which lets you talk and see friends, family or business associates over the net in real-time and at miniscule online costs. The good news is these cards are not expensive. You should be able to get one for <$US50.

But my capture system already has 'Frame Capture', what does CamSnap do thats different?
The only similarity between 'Frame Capture' and CamSnap is that Frame Capture is only a starting point. It lets my software know which frame is your desired one. From then on, additional processing provides you with quality pictures. For example a 360 dpi (low quality) video camera should produce through CamSnap very reasonable pictures. A typical Sony middle of the range camera which has a resolution around 500 dpi will give excellent pictures.

Ensure if you are buying a Capture Card that it has VIDEO OVERLAY mode.
Camsnap does not support USB, Parallel port or Snappy
